CrossFit has been an integral part of my life. When I first stepped into a box, I was intimidated by the athleticism in front of me. Through a lot of hard work, tears, and some ripped calluses, I came to find that CrossFit is a place where anyone can succeed regardless of their background, age, or athleticism. Even though I was in the military I was not what you consider dedicated to health. Because of this, I spent a majority of the past 10 years avoiding any form of an active lifestyle. Over the past 4 years, along with my wife Katie, I’ve come to understand that CrossFit is not only about physical fitness but mental health as well. I’ve experienced and see how a box can completely change someone’s life. This is the best part of coaching! As I have worked with different athletes, I’ve had the opportunity to see their perception of themselves completely change and achieve goals they once thought to be unobtainable. This is my main reason for coaching and loving CrossFit.
